All children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 enjoy a hot lunch every day, freshly prepared in our school kitchen. These meals are fully funded by the school through a dedicated government grant.

Our meals are cooked on site using fresh, locally sourced ingredients—including vegetables and meat. Every day, children can choose from a variety of meal options. During morning registration, they select their preferred lunch to help ensure they get their first choice.

Lunch is served on real plates with metal cutlery, giving children a proper dining experience. Each table has beakers and juice jugs for everyone to use. After finishing their main meal, children can choose their pudding from the day’s selection.

Packed Lunches for Key Stage 2

Children in Key Stage 2 are welcome to bring a packed lunch if they prefer. Please make sure your child’s lunch box is clearly labelled with their name and class. For safety reasons, glass items (like bottles) are not allowed. We also encourage healthy choices—please avoid including chocolate, sweets or fizzy drinks.

Free School Meals

Some families are eligible for free school meals based on certain benefits. If you think this might apply to you, please contact the school office for confidential advice and support.

Sustainability at Lunchtime

We encourage all children to recycle foil, plastic bottles, and raw food scraps (which go into our compost bin!) as part of our commitment to sustainability.
