If you are interested in signing up for the London Trip, or would like more information about the next trip, please speak to the school office or Miss Walton.

Our Annual Residential Trip to London

2024

What an amazing few days we have had in London this year! 75,000 steps taken exploring all over our capital city. We started Day One in style, cruising down to London by train (in just over 2 hours). Once we arrived in London, we quickly hopped on to the Underground Service and travelled by Tube to our hostel. After dropping off our baggage, we jumped back on the Tube to the Science Museum, which was truly inspiring. We then enjoyed a walking tour of London, seeing sights such as the Marble Arch, Hyde Park and Buckingham Palace, before we arrived at the Tate Britain. So many of our children were impressed with the wonderful artwork that was on display. We finished our day with a McDonalds for tea on The Strand before returning back to our hostel for a well-earned rest.

Day Two saw us take in further sights of London by foot, whilst on our way to The Tower of London, where we explored The Bloody Tower and got up close to some majestic ravens. We then crossed the Thames to climb aboard the HMS Belfast. We split into groups and explored different parts of the ships, whilst Miss Walton took a brief timeout in the ship's prison cell. Following on from that, we took in the sights of the South Bank and headed for tea at Zizzis. We finished our evening watching 'Frozen the Musical', which was truly magical.

Day Three saw us finish our trip in true Grosvenor Park style with a visit to WB Studios. Following the theme of all our journeys, we used even more public transport to get us to Watford by taking the underground, a train and then using the Harry Potter Shuttle Bus. We had the BEST TIME EVER exploring the making of Harry Potter and we really didn't want to leave. However, home time soon beckoned so we made our way back to Euston Station, had a quick bite to eat and commenced our journey home.

Our Annual Residential Trip to London

2023

Back with a BANG! Our London 2023 Residential was a huge success. This year we took a group of 45 Y5 and 6 children to our Capital. This time, we explored the Harry Potter, Warner Brother Studios, Tour on Day 1. Woke up early and headed over to Madame Tussauds for the morning of day 2, before eating our lunch on the South Bank watching the street performers show off their skills. In the afternoon, the children visited Westminster Abbey (this is a must if you ever visit London, it is AMAZING!) before taking a tour of all the Capital's landmarks. The evening brought a trip to the theatre, and this year we were amazed by The Lion King. Finally, a first-ever for Grosvenor Park, we took a trip to LegoLand to have some fun at the Theme Park. We cannot wait for next year already!

After a couple of years without it, we got the chance to take a group of 45 Y5 and 6 children to London again. This time, we explored the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum on Day One. On the Thursday, we visited the Tower of London (a teacher favourite) before taking a ride on the London Eye. The day was finished of with a walking tour of the famous sites before tea and Matilda the Musical. Finally, the GPPS London Trip wouldn't be the same without a trip to WB Studio Tours.
