English
This term our learning will centre around The Boy Who Grew Dragons by Andy Shepherd.
Whilst reading our text, we will draw inferences around characters' thoughts, feelings, actions and motives. We will justify our inferences with evidence from the text. We will also enjoy a poetry week at the end of the half term.
We will read at least once a week to our class teacher and our reading records will be checked every day to make sure we are reading at home.
We will use our text to help us write for a range of purposes including writing instructions, a contrasting perspectives narrative and a non-chronological report.
Spelling continues to be a huge focus in MP2, children will have a 15 minute spelling lesson every day. We will be looking specifically at words from the Year 3 and 4 Statutory Spelling list. We appreciate any support we get at home in practising these spellings and working towards earning our spelling badges.
