Phonics and Reading Schemes

Grosvenor Park has developed an "in-house" scheme of work which has it's own structure and resources. It is closely linked to our reading scheme and home readers.

Reading Schemes

Grosvenor Park reading scheme draws on a wide range of published schemes to give our children the breadth and depth needed to develop early reading. Each book is carefully matched to the child's need. Children are regularly informally assessed to ensure they are reading at the right level. Children take home books that can be read with relative ease. Books of a higher level are used in Whole class reading and Guided reading sessions to develop higher level skills.
