| Our P.E. days are a XXX and XXX | Children are given two phonetically suitable reading books to take home each week. Children will also choose a 'free choice' book that can be read for pleasure at home.
We change books weekly. This is so children are given the opportunity and time to read a book multiple times to build their fluency and understanding.
Please find just 5 MINUTES to read with your child daily and sign their reading record. Reading daily makes an HUGE difference to their reading fluency and confidence.
You may find a label with the sounds your child can recognise confidently and sounds they are not yet secure with in their reading record. Please practise these at home regularly!
