| Our P.E. days are a Tuesday and Friday | Children are given two phonetically suitable reading books to take home each week. Children will also choose a 'free choice' book that can be read for pleasure at home. Please make sure that the children's reading records and books come into school daily.
We change books weekly. This is so children are given the opportunity and time to read a book multiple times to build their fluency and understanding.
Please find just 10 MINUTES to read with your child daily and sign their reading record. Reading daily makes an HUGE difference to their reading fluency and confidence.
You may find a label with the sounds your child can recognise confidently and sounds they are not yet secure with in their reading record. Please practise these at home regularly!
