KS1 MATHS BADGES
In Mathematics this term, Years 1 and 2 will be consolidating and building on all their learning from the Autumn and Spring Term. We will recap and further imbed our understanding of place value with numbers up to 100, continue to master our understanding of multiplication and division. In addition and subtraction we will build up our fluency and master methods for completing calculations with larger values. We will recap fractions which will include quarters, three quarters and thirds. On top of this, we will explore length, time and money once more all while tackling increasingly tricky reasoning and problems solving tasks to help challenge our understanding.
Practising your Maths skills at home is a great idea. Learning number bonds to 10 is essential for mathematical success throughout school, so please practise these regularly at home. Hit the button is a great game to practise this.

Year 2 will soon have their username and password for Times Table Rockstars to learn their 2, 3, 5 and 10 times tables.
Throughout our lessons and play, we will continue to apply our Mathematical skills and understanding to real-life problems during play and learn and reasoning challenges in maths lessons.
