Mrs. Price is our school Pastoral Lead and ELSA (Emotional literacy support assistant) - she can provide a wide range of support for the children and families within our school.
Mrs. Price is always willing to listen and sees things from everybody's point of view. She is good at understanding emotions and behaviours and helping us regulate these.
She is also passionate about positive role models. She is constantly on the look out for people choosing to do the right thing, so she can give her 'Role Model' award out in assembly on a Friday alongside the VIP's . This award is linked to our 'Fundamental British Values' - These young people lead by example and become our play ground buddies. We also have Sports Leaders to organise and run activities during active break and lunchtime.
Her work can lead her in many different directions offering support and guidance in different areas, including: friendships, bereavement, growth mindset, self esteem, family needs and various different emotional support; the list is endless. This can be through group work or one-to-one support.
Being friendly, kind and thinking of others are important behaviours within our school. 'Friendship Framework' groups are run throughout Key Stage 2 to promote these positive behaviours.
Mrs. Price is the main point of contact for our families who might be in need of Early Help. We have contacts and local connections with outside agencies including our local Foodbank, Hygiene Bank and the Uniform Project; if this support is needed, please feel free to contact her. We also work alongside Barnardo's, Morecambe Bay Mental Health Support Team, Children and Family Well being Service's and other outside agencies who help support some of the work we do with our children and families.
Mrs. Price is a qualified Teaching Assistant and an ELSA (Emotional literacy support assistant) who has completed lots of additional training from 'Dealing with Challenging behaviour' to 'Seasons for Growth - loss and bereavement support', and more recently a course in CBT and 'Talking & Drawing' therapy.
She also simply loves our Grosvenor Park family and being a mum herself she understands life as a parent!
You can find her in 'THE DEN' Develop, Encourage, Nurture!
