We are currently looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. This post is replacing a departing colleague and, subject to the usual probationary period is a permanent position. The postholder will be required to work the ‘full-time’ school week (approx. 27 hours). The Governing Body would like the successful candidate to start after the Easter break.
As a TA Level 3 you would be required to provide support to children in a whole class setting and to also work 1:1, or in small groups, to deliver units of work. In addition to this, an essential component of these posts is to provide class cover for the class teacher when needed. The successful candidates may be deployed in any Year Group/Class (although will, most likely, be deployed in our Year 3 and 4 classrooms for the rest of this school year).
Candidates are required to hold a Teaching Assistant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) as well as significant experience in a similar role. Successful candidates will also hold GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English at Grade C or above.
The salary scale is Grade 6 of the Lancashire Pay Spine (Points 21-26).
