Maths
In Mathematics this term, Year 3 and 4 will continue to consolidate and build on knowledge of number and place value. We will be developing our skills using formal methods for addition, subtraction, multiplication and division, with increasingly larger numbers. Children will deepen their understanding of measuring length when learning how to calculate the area and perimeter of rectilinear shapes. We will also explore fractions and decimal numbers, as well as learning about different types of angles! A MAJOR FOCUS this term will be on multiplication; learning to recall times tables to 12 x 12… in preparation for the Year 4 Multiplication check in June!
Throughout, we will continue to apply our Mathematical skills and understanding to real-life problems and reasoning challenges.
