Supporting Learning at Home

We’re so glad you’re here—your interest in supporting your child’s learning journey means the world to us.

We know that balancing schoolwork with the demands of everyday life can be challenging. Between busy schedules, family commitments, and the fast pace of modern life, finding time for learning at home isn’t always easy.

That’s why at Grosvenor Park, we’re committed to helping families find a healthy, manageable balance—where home learning is meaningful, purposeful, and never overwhelming.

Our aim is to make learning—both in school and at home—a positive experience for every child and every family. We want to nurture a love of learning while respecting your time, energy, and the realities of family life.

How You Can Support at Home

Here are some simple, effective ways to support your child’s learning outside the classroom:

  • 📚 Read Together
We encourage children to read every night, or as often as possible, with an adult. Reading together builds vocabulary, strengthens comprehension, and fosters a lifelong love of books—all of which support academic success and confidence.

  • 🔢 Practice Key Number Facts
Regular practice of number bonds and times tables helps children earn their Maths badges. These core skills boost fluency, improve problem-solving, and lay the foundation for more advanced mathematical thinking.

  • ✏️ Spelling & Phonics Practice
Practising spelling and phonics helps children earn their Spelling badges. It also improves writing, enhances reading comprehension, and strengthens overall literacy.
