CLASS NOVELS
This Summer Term, we will centre our learning around the following novels:
We are starting off the Summer Term with the book 'Jack and the Baked Beanstalk'. Throughout this half term children will be discussing key vocabulary within the context of a texts, activating prior knowledge, raising and answering questions about the text and making inferences about characters and events. Next term we aim for the children to write an Alternative fairytale, instructions and a persuasive letter. We are kicking off the first week by trying different baked beans and deciding which is the best recipe!
Handwriting
Handwriting is really important for making us proud of our work and helping to remember spelling. We are encouraging every child to work on their handwriting badges. Here is the handwriting policy in case you would like to do any practise at home.
