All about... Mrs Wiggins
Mrs Wiggins is thrilled to be sharing Class 10 with Mrs Martin this year and feels very lucky to have inherited such a fabulous bunch of children to work with. She has now been teaching for almost 20 years (and has the wrinkles to prove it), yet despite the majority of Mrs Wiggins’ teaching experience being in secondary education, she is absolutely relishing the move to the wonderful world of primary education and has not looked back. Mrs Wiggins loves the diversity of teaching the primary curriculum and is excited to be the subject lead for art this year, which is a subject she is particularly passionate about along with modern foreign languages. Not surprisingly then, Mrs Wiggins jumps at the chance of visiting other countries and also loves a nosey around an art gallery or two. Mrs Wiggins loves to make her lessons fun, engaging and active and often has a little anecdote up her sleeve that she likes to share with the children to help bring content to life.
Outside of her school life, Mrs Wiggins has a jam-packed home-life being a mother of three and proud dog and cat owner. At weekends and in the holidays, she can frequently be found hiking around the Lake District with Mr Wiggins and the rest of the gang and also enjoys practising yoga, cooking delicious vegetarian food and tending to her many plants! She has recently dusted her old guitar off too and been practising playing over the summer (much to her family’s delight!) so brace yourself Class 10-you may be her next audience!
