We believe that children shine in different areas of the curriculum. We encourage an approach where quality teaching is prioritised to meet our children's needs and support progress. We aim to minimise interventions outside of lessons and cater to children's specific needs within lessons through differentiation and an over-learning approach which we call the PIVATs approach. We want all our children including those with a SEN to access a broad and rich curriculum.

However, there are times when additional intervention outside of the lesson time is required. We carefully choose our interventions and train staff to deliver them in a timely and effective manner to ensure good results for the child across the curriculum. These interventions are carefully monitored by the TA and teacher and overseen by the SENCO.
