It is anticipated that our school will receive £10,585 in the catch-up premium grant.

Since September, we have planned, developed and begun to implement our ‘catch-up’ programme (and how to use the Government’s catch-up grant), which, broadly speaking consists of:

• EYFS – Nuffield Early Literacy Intervention
• Key Stage One – Introduction of a play-based approach to learning (allowing small group ‘developmental’ learning).
• Key Stage Two – the appointment of an additional teacher allowing small year-group specific teaching across Years 3-6 and dedicated intervention time allowing for small group and 1:1 tuition. NFER assessments will be used in conjunction with teacher assessment to identify the needs of the intervention/catch-up groups. 

Diagnostic testing, using NFER together with teacher judgement, will be used to inform the impact of our approach.
