Happy World Book Day 2021!
Zoom 1 - 9:30am for all Year 3 & 4
Zoom 2 - 11:00am for all Year 3 & 4
We would like to invite everyone to wear pyjamas for the day to remind us all how wonderful it is to snuggle up at bedtime with a good book!
We will be basing our activities around extracts from 'The Book of Hope' which is a wonderful collection of short stories, poems, essays and pictures with contributions from more than 110 children’s writers and illustrators, including Lauren Child, Anthony Horowitz, Greg James and Chris Smith, Michael Morpurgo, Liz Pichon, Axel Scheffler, Francesca Simon and Jacqueline Wilson. The collection is dedicated to the doctors, nurses, carers, porters, cleaners and everyone working in hospitals.
You can find a link to an online version of 'The Book of Hope' here:
- Following the morning's lessons, you will have a special creative task to complete to help us create a new display for when we return to school.
- Keep your eyes peeled as we will also be uploading different activities for you to complete to celebrate World Book Day onto Purple Mash, including a special activity grid, a quiz and a book review.
- Today is all about reading and enjoying books as much as we can!
